Aims and objectives: The objective of WARG, the society for Winchester archaeology and local history, is to promote the study of archaeology and local history in the City of Winchester and the surrounding area, through monthly events including lectures; walks; excursions and excavations

Services and activities offered: WARG provides work parties and other support for Winchester Museums and develops training activities for volunteers.

Membership: Just £10 per annum, or £18 for two people at the same address. Free entry to meetings, and a thrice-yearly newsletter. To contact us: Come along to any of our meetings, email membership@warg.org.uk, or download an application form.

Times: Meetings and lectures at our new venue: Hampshire Records Office, Sussex Street, Winchester - normally second Monday of the month, September to May, 19:30. Click for Map
